Day 1: Discover the Natural Beauty of Hainan

Starting the first day of your trip to Hainan, you will explore the natural beauty of the island. You will head to Yalong Bay, where you can enjoy a pristine beach with crystal-clear water and powdery sand. The stunning scenery is perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and relaxation. After that, you will visit the Yanoda Rainforest Cultural Tourism Zone. The park boasts spectacular landscapes, including waterfalls, lakes, cliffs, and tropical plants. In the evening, you can attend a show at the Sanya Romance Park. The live performance combines acrobatics, dance, and music, showcasing the unique culture of the Li and Miao ethnic minorities.

Day 2: Indulge in the Local Culture of Hainan

The second day of your Hainan tour is all about experiencing the local culture of the island. You will visit Wuzhishan, a city rich in tradition and history. You can take a stroll in Dongshan Old Town, a well-preserved ancient village, and try the local delicacies, such as Hainan chicken rice, coconut juice, and tropical fruits. You will also explore the Nanwan Monkey Island, where you can observe more than two thousand macaques living in their natural habitat, and take a cable car ride to enjoy the panoramic view of the island. In the evening, you can join a bonfire party at the beach and enjoy the seafood barbecue.

Day 3: Adventure and Sports in Hainan

The third and last day of your Hainan vacation is dedicated to adventure and sports. You will start with a visit to the End of the Earth, a scenic spot with dramatic cliffs, rugged rocks, and roaring waves. You can take photos at Tianya Haijiao, a place known as the "edge of the sky and the corner of the sea," and write a postcard to your loved ones. Then, you can go to the Wanning Riyuewan Surfing Club and take a surfing class. Hainan is known as the "Hawaii of China," and Riyuewan has some of the best waves for beginners to learn to surf. You can also try other watersports, such as paddleboarding, kayaking, or snorkeling. In the afternoon, you will head back to your hotel and relax, ending your trip to Hainan on a high note.

There are numerous options for accommodations in Hainan, ranging from luxury resorts to budget guesthouses. If you want to stay near the beach, Yalong Bay and Haitang Bay are popular locations with many five-star hotels and villas. Sanya downtown has many affordable hotels, hostels, and homestays, and it's ideal if you want to experience the local life and nightlife. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat, Wuzhishan and other rural areas have charming boutique hotels and countryside guesthouses, as well as eco-resorts and health retreats.

How to Get to Hainan

Hainan has two international airports: Haikou Meilan International Airport in the north and Sanya Phoenix International Airport in the south. Many airlines operate direct flights to Hainan from major cities in China, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Chengdu, as well as from some Asian countries, such as Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. You can also take a high-speed train or a bus from other provinces in China to Hainan, as the island is connected to the mainland by two bridges and a tunnel.
